Seeing the new Royal baby yesterday made me broody for my newborn shoots!  I had a lovely run of newborn shoots in February and March, but the last few weeks have been busy with bluebells and the start of Spring colour.  As much as I love running around in the beautiful outdoors, or a squishy 6 month old shoot at home, I think newborn shoots are my favourite of all.

The sparkle in Prince Harry’s eyes yesterday and his giggly chatter, reminded me of how giddy my husband I felt when we bought our eldest home from hospital.  I was fortunate to have a simple birth, and our baby at the time didn’t have any complications, so we were able to get home and enjoy getting to know her very quickly.  The newborn sleepless haze hadn’t hit us, reflux issues hadn’t arrived and we were buzzing with new baby excitement, we felt like the most lucky people in the world.

I could see that magic with Prince Harry and Megan yesterday, and it’s something that is so priceless and something that I feel so honoured to be able to capture. I never take for granted how lucky I am to be allowed into the new family’s special bubble in those early weeks and to be one of the first to meet the new baby.

This photo shoot I wanted to share is no exception.  Like Master Archie the absolutely lovely first time parents had a very content, relaxed little girl, who slept through most of the shoot, until the shots with her new Mummy & Daddy when she opened her eyes and looked in awe and wonder at them.
